Looking Ahead to Sustainable Practices
OC Arts Center recognizes the importance of environmental awareness and sustainable practices in organizations today. We hold this philosophy central to the development and ongoing existence of the center. To ensure the protection of the natural environment surrounding our location, and the preservation of the open space we hope to occupy, OC Arts Center will seek the appropriate professionals to establish important guidelines for the design, development and execution of our plan, including practices encouraged by the US Green Building Council.
Maximizing Efficiency
We will implement efficient water management plans, including the use of drought tolerant native plants, and reclaimed water if irrigation is necessary. Throughout construction, the center will utilize recycled and locally harvested and manufactured materials and create an efficient construction waste management plan to minimize any impact to the surrounding area.
